Inspection
Mapping the damage before a drop of water
Our technician walks the entire carpet with a calibrated moisture meter and UV torch. Chai rings, ink bleed, and monsoon wicking each require different pre-treatment chemistry — this stage determines the map. You receive a written condition report before any work begins.
Pre-Treatment
Loosening what eighteen months compacted
A pH 9.5 alkaline emulsifier is agitated into the pile with a cylindrical brush, breaking the bond between embedded particulate and fibre. Chai tannins and ink-based stains receive a targeted enzyme gel. Dwell time is precisely 8 minutes — under-dwell leaves residue, over-dwell risks dye migration.
Hot Water Extraction
The core process — 72°C, 200 PSI
A truckmount extractor injects heated water at 200 PSI through a dual-jet wand, then immediately vacuums the loosened soil and solution at 100" water-lift. The dark water recovered is held in a containment tank — facility managers are shown the tank before disposal. Extraction passes continue until the recovery water runs clear.
Neutralisation
Returning the pile to pH 7.0
Residual alkaline chemistry left in the pile accelerates re-soiling — the fibre becomes slightly tacky at high pH, attracting airborne dust. Our pH 5.5 acid rinse neutralises the pile to a stable 7.0, confirmed with a strip test. Anti-microbial encapsulant is applied at this stage for offices requesting it.
Speed-Dry
Below 8% moisture before we leave
Three industrial air movers (1,600 CFM each) are positioned at 45° to the pile and run until the moisture meter reads below 8%. This is the number that matters: above 12% risks mould colonisation within 48 hours in Mumbai humidity. We do not leave until we have a sub-8% reading documented in your service report.
